The delivery controller is responsible for the clearance of all departing IFR flights.
The delivery controller shall check the following parameters in the pilots’ flight plans:
ALV: Initial climb clearance is 4000 ft for all departures
PDC: PDC is available in Fiumicino, logon code is [LIRF] and it shall always be mentioned in the controller’s info line when it is in use.
The Delivery controller is also in charge of making the correct handoffs to the appropriate ground controller. In case both Ground positions are online ensure you are familiar with their AoR to assign the correct frequency to departing aircraft.
The main departure runway in LIRF is runway 25
Alternatively runway 16R / 34L may be requested by heavy aircraft due to climb / takeoff performance.
When connecting the ATIS, dependent parallel approaches shall always be selected unless otherwise coordinated by the approach controllers.
vSID will correctly assign ICP/TSE and ALV according to the RWY in use. In case Independent Parallel Approaches are in progress, make sure to use the .lirfipa alias to ensure correct assignments as explained here.
In case Fiume Ramp is online managing vACDM, Delivery will hand over the aircraft as soon as the pilot has read back the clearance correctly.
Itarrow 2108, Fiume Delivery, readback correct, contact Ramp with callsign only on 129.075.
