Roma Fiumicino is the largest airport in Italy, located about 30 kilometers southwest of Roma. It has two terminals: Terminal 1 for most of the flights operating to/from EU and Terminal 3 for few Schengen, all extra Schengen and many national flights. The airport serves most of Italy’s intercontinental flights. It is a key passenger and cargo hub. The transition altitude is 6000ft and in this airport only IFR flights are allowed (with exceptions).
