¶ EuroScope Installation

EuroScope is the software used by VATITA to control the virtual skies, it is important to have it installed and working before starting your S1 training.
Before beginning with the installation process, make sure you meet all the requirements

Downloading and installing the software:
- Go to this link to download the installer (version 3.2.3.2)
- Run the installer and follow the prompted steps, make sure the destination folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Euroscope

Downloading the italian Sector File:
- Run EuroScope and press “Cancel” on the first window that pops up
- In the top bar click on “OPEN SCT” and “Download Sector Files …”
- Click on “EuroScope main sector file provider”, press Download, then tick the “A”
- Now new items should pop up in the list, click on AeroNav GNG Sector File Provider, press Download and tick the “A”
- Scroll down until you find AeroNav GNG LIXX vACC Italy, click on it and press Download
- Once the download is complete tick the “A” then in the box below click on LIXX Italy_TOPSKY_Setup and press Download
- Now click on LIXX Italy_TOPSKY_Update, download it and once the download is complete (indicated by the “D” which will become ticket) tick the “A”

Close EuroScope and cancel all the messages that pop up

Start EuroScope again and open the profile “italy - TOPSKY.prf”
If you followed all the steps correctly your screen should look something like this:
Other than EuroScope there are 2 fundemental programs you need to install:
- Audio for Vatsim (to communicate with the pilots via voice)
- vATIS (to connect the ATIS for the airport you are controlling)
You’ll find the vATIS profiles in this folder /Euroscope/LIXX/Plugins/vATIS
The installation of these two programs is very intuitive and their utilization will be explained in detail by your mentor.
