The ground controller is responsible for the delivery of ATC clearances and for the movement on the apron and taxiways.
The ground controller shall check the following parameters in the pilots’ flight plans:
ALV: The initial climb clearance in LIMF is 5000 ft for all SIDs
PDC: PDC is not available in LIMF
SIDs and ALV will be correctly assigned by vSID
The preferred runway in LIMF is runway 36 which is used up to 7 knots of tailwind
The controllers shall use GroundRadar Plugin which will direct most aircraft to the appropriate stand. In case a stand is blocked, reassignment is possible via GRP.
Available stands for passenger airlines:
Stand | Type | Use |
---|---|---|

302-310 | Startup | GA |
The main restriction in LIMF is taxiway N from HP N1 to the GA apron, this portion is limited to a wingspan of 20 meters.
GRP will consider this restriction when assigning the stand.
GND shall expect all arriving aircraft to be cleared to taxi via Y and hold short Y1 by TWR unless otherwise coordinated.
Low visibility procedures in Torino are activated whenever:
During LVP the ground controller shall instruct aircraft to taxi the the appropriate CAT 2 / 3 holding points, which can be displayed on the SMR by activating the LVP function on the GRP bar.
