The ground controller is responsible for the delivery of ATC clearances and for the movement on the apron and taxiways.
The ground controller shall assign the correct SID using DelHel and check the following parameters in the pilots' flight plans:
ALV: Initial climb in Palermo is 4000 ft for all SIDs
PDC: Not available in LICJ
The preferential runway in LICJ is runway 25 / 07
Due to the location of the airports, strong winds are a common phenomena and pilots may request runway 02 / 20 for departure. Coordination with the Tower is necessary when this is not used as the main departure runway.

The controllers shall use GroundRadar Plugin which will direct most aircraft to the appropriate stand. In case a stand is blocked, reassignment is possible via GRP.

When runway 07 is in use for departure, aircraft are required to cross runway 02 / 20, the Ground Controller may, upon delegation from the Tower, clear the aircraft to cross the runway to reach holding point E.
